If hiking is your preference, you will want to explore Chignecto Park. The park boasts 42 km of prime hiking trails, the trails run along the coast of the Bay of Fundy as well as in land, with designated camp sites scattered through out. Another place to explore is the Kenomee hiking and walking trails. Vast intertidal areas, sculpted cliffs, volcanic rock and granite escarpment of the Cobequid Hills with its many waterfalls, all characterize an area we call Kenomee (the Mi’kmaq name for Economy). Located along the shore of the Minas Basin between Truro and Parrsboro, the area features a well-developed system of excellent coastal and wilderness hiking trails. They include Economy Falls Trail, Thomas’ Cove and Five Island Prov. Park trails. Sea Kayaking and canoeing are
also popular in the area.
What is Geocaching?
Geocaching, is an outdoor treasure-hunting game in which participants (called "geocachers") use a Global Positioning System receiver or other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers (called "geocaches" or "caches") Caches are a small waterproof container containing a logbook and "treasure" (usually toys or trinkets of little monetary value).
